More Aid For NC Restaurants

Welcome news for restaurants from the Triangle Business Journal:
“MORE AID FOR NC RESTAURANTS: On Tuesday, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper extended the state’s Phase 3 reopening as officials remain concerned about rising cases of Covid-19 and hospitalizations. Cooper also opened funding to help restaurants across the state.
Starting Thursday, full-service restaurants can apply for the state’s Mortgage, Utility and Rent Relief (MURR) Program. Restaurants can receive up to $20,000 to help pay for up to four months of rent or mortgage interest. Locations must employ fewer than 50 people to be eligible.
Restaurants in the state have been restricted to 50 percent capacity since the spring.”
